Minis

General Info

Ages: 9&Under

Minimum Practice Requirement:  2x/week

Season Dates:  9/22/2025 - 5/10/2026 (33 weeks)

Membership Fee:  $300 non-refundable

USA Swim Membership Fee:  $96 paid directly to USA Swimming

  • Our Competitive Minis Team is the perfect starting block for young swimmers aged 9 and under who are ready to explore the exciting world of competitive swimming. This program is designed to introduce the fundamentals of competition in a fun and engaging way, emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
  • This group follows our A La Carte format, allowing swimmers to choose practice days that work best with their schedules. Training sessions focus on stroke refinement, building aerobic strength, and introducing key elements of race strategy. Swimmers in this group stay connected to the team while building the skills and fitness needed for the next level.

  • Everyone will have a place within our program, but we will do evaluations to place swimmers into the appropriate level group within our Competitive Team!
  • If swimmers are not ready for the Competitive Team, we will recommend you to our Swim Team Prep or Stroke Clinic programs.

Discounts

  • Multi-Registration Discount: 2.5% discount on practice fees per additional practice day (only applies to 'A La Carte' practice groups)


  • Multi-Athlete Discount: 5% discount on practice fees per Competitive Team Swimmer

Fees

  • QOSA Annual Registration Fee: $300.00 (non-refundable)
  • Includes Season T-Shirt & Cap (Latex or Silicon) if registered by 9/22/2025
  • No refunds are available for Competitive Team after the Season Start Date on 9/22/2025
  • Exceptions: Account credit will be provided to those who need to end early due to Medical Reasons with supporting documentation

Summer Short Course Practices at Quince Orchard

5 Weeks (6/22-7/20)

  • Sunday: 9-10 am

Indoor Short Course Practices

33 Weeks (9/22/2025-5/10/2026)

  • Monday: 5:30-6:30 pm
  • Tuesday: 4:30-5:30 pm
  • Wednesday: 5:30-6:30 pm
  • Thursday: 4:30-5:30 pm
  • Friday: 5:30-6:30 pm
  • Saturday: 9:30-11:00 am (1.5 hour practice)

Practice Fees

Summer Long Course Practices

Full 5 Weeks:  $100.00

Drop-In Single Practice:  $20.00

Indoor Short Course Practices

QOSA Annual Registration Fee:  $300.00

2x/week:  $2,112.00 ($32 per practice)

3x/week:  $2,970.00 ($30 per practice)

4x/week: $3,696.00 ($28 per practice)

  • Practice fees will be prorated based on your starting date if you do not enroll before the beginning of the season

Payment Schedule

At Registration: Registration Fee + 1st 1/3 of Practice Fees

August 1st:  2nd 1/3 of Practice Fees

September 1st: 3rd 1/3 of Practice Fees

If enrolling after September 1st:  Total for the season is due at checkout

  • Fins (long fins preferred)
  • Finis Snorkel (Junior size)
  • FINIS Alignment Board (not included on Team store, please use this link)

  • Meet Fees: Fees will be charged directly to your credit card on file once meet entries are submitted. Fees will vary meet-to-meet.
  • Meet Schedule
  • Team Apparel: QOSA will provide a season T-shirt and swim cap to every Competitive Team swimmer!
  • Additional QOSA apparel is available for purchase! Sizing events will be held throughout the summer!
  • Swimmers can wear their own suits to meets but must be in a QOSA swim cap
  • Technical Suits are recommended for Championship Meets

Quince Orchard Swim Academy utilizes the Captyn Platform for Registration

Step 2: Select your preferred tryout date.

Step 3: Proceed to your cart to check out. You will need to create your Captyn account. Please include your information along with your swimmer(s).

Step 4: Complete the check out process - no payment is due at this time.

Step 5: Attend the Competitive Team Tryout.

Step 6: Following the tryout you will receive an email with your Competitive Team group membership placement & registration link - First payment is due at this time.

Step 7: Click the registration link to select your practice days and times on the Captyn platform!
